daina cheyenne harvey

daina cheyenne harvey is an associate professor of sociology at the college of the holy cross. he received a b.b.a. in finance and a double b.a. in philosophy and economics from the university of texas-austin, a m.a. in sociology from the university of houston, and a ph.d. in sociology from rutgers university.

daina is an ethnographer whose work is at the intersection of social disruption and food. in particular he teaches and does research on the environmental precariat, post-pastoral and food geographies, agrarianism, symbolic interaction, and culture.

his work has appeared in sociological forum, symbolic interaction, poetics, humanity & society, landscape and urban planning, local environment, and urban studies.
